Light Arms is a band from Washington, DC, consisting of J. Forte (Bass/Guitars/Vocals), Gregory Gendron (Drums), Tim Ramnitz (Guitars/Vocals) and, Ryan Stubbs (Guitars/Bass/Vocals).

Washington, DC, indie quartet Light Arms reference three decades of guitar rock in four-minute bursts, featuring three singers, buzzing guitars, metronomic bass, kinetic drumming, and a diverse collection of tunes.

Light Arms was formed in the Spring of 2013 when drummer Gregory Gendron returned to DC from Japan and began working on tunes with a pair of singer/guitarists, Ryan Stubbs and Tim Ramnitz, former band-mates while the two studied in Boulder, Colorado. Ramnitz had been haunting the ghosts of DC rock present in Space for Space, while recent District arrival Stubbs came from a number of prominent bands in the burgeoning Denver indie scene. The gents called in Gregory's former Secret Pop Band band-mate, the multi-instrumentalist J. Forte to fill out the group on bass. Mixing common influences such as Guided by Voices, the Replacements, KISS, and classic guitar pop with lo-fi DIY sensibilities, Light Arms aim to play quality music for quality people, perhaps melting a few quality hearts along the way.
